Two infrastructure projects completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) now ensure safety and improved accessibility for the people of Laua-an, Antique.
Based on a report submitted by DPWH Antique District Engineering Office, completed are the flood mitigation structure spanning 264 lineal meters along Paliwan River in Barangay Ginbangaan and a 322-lineal meter road along Barangay San Ramon-Barangay Latazon-Barangay Liberato Road.

The Barangay San Ramon-Barangay Latazon-Barangay Liberato Road, is considered a primary access going to Iloilo-Antique Road, Laua-an Public Market, and muscovado sugar mills.
The P9.7 million concrete road intends to provide better access to nearby tourist destinations, thereby boosting local agribusiness and tourism industries.
“We are hopeful that these projects will contribute to the economic growth and development of the province while improving the quality of life of Antiqueños,” Bueno concluded.
