The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of two major infrastructure projects in Tablas Island, Romblon.
According to DPWH Secretary Roger Mercado, completed are ₱26.69 Million Panique Flood Control in Odiongan and the ₱11.76 Million David Bridge along Odiongan – East-West Road.

The newly-completed Panique Flood Control was fast-tracked to protect residents of Barangay Panique and nearby residents in Odiongan.
Meanwhile, improved mobility between municipalities of Odiongan and Sta. Maria is now being enjoyed in the province with the completion of the new David Bridge.
DPWH Romblon District Engineering Office (DEO) implemented both the 33-meter David Bridge and the Panique Flood Control.
DPWH Romblon also completed the concrete paving of Sitio Canlumay Farm to Market Road in Barangay Tumingad, Odiongan to provide more convenient access in transporting agricultural products to the nearest markets.
