The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed the construction of a new and improved Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center Building in Barangay Pulang Lupa 1, Las Piñas City.
The 12-storey building project was implemented by the DPWH National Capital Region (NCR) and the DPWH Las Piñas-Muntinlupa District Engineering Office (DEO) in convergence with the Department of Health and the local government of Las Piñas City.
“The new hospital building replaced an old 2-storey structure to expand and improve the public health and specialized care services in the city.”
DPWH-NCR Director Loreta Malaluan, in her report to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, said that the new hospital building replaced an old 2-storey structure to expand and improve the public health and specialized care services in the city.
The building upgrade with a total floor area of 13,650 square meters now has sufficient space for internal medicine, pediatrics, and isolation wards; a hemodialysis clinic; physical medicine and rehabilitation department; nutrition and dietetics section, and an outpatient department. It also accommodates administrative and executive offices, finance offices, a utility room, and parking area, and a roof deck.
“The completion of this 12-storey Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center Building is a testament of President Ferdinand R. Marcos government’s efforts in achieving a ‘Bagong Pilipinas’ where every Filipino has access to high-quality public healthcare,” Malaluan said.
The Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center Building Project, with a combined cost of P791.53 million, was constructed by the DPWH-NCR and DPWH Las Piñas-Muntinlupa DEO in five phases from 2021.
