The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has been officially recognized as one of the top government agencies to receive a Bronze Award from the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM).
DPWH Undersecretary Marichu Palafox accepted the award on behalf of Secretary Manuel Bonoan at the 2024 PRIME-HRM Awarding Ceremony, held at Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila, during the CSC 2024 Regional Human Resource Management Practitioners Congress.
In a statement, Bonoan welcomed the recognition and vowed that DPWH, through its Human Resource and Administrative Service (HRAS), will remain steadfast in championing human resource management practices that encourage, support, and uplift employees’ overall well-being, both at work and in life.
The Bronze Award signifies that all DPWH Central Office HR systems acquired the Maturity Level 2 or Process-Defined HRM, which means that a set of documented standard operating procedures were established and is characterized by goal-oriented decision making.
The DPWH Central Office has met the PRIME-HRM Level 2-Maturity Indicators for all the four core HRM areas namely Recruitment, Selection, and Placement (RSP), Learning and Development (L&D), Performance Management (PM), and Rewards and Recognition (R&R).
