“I am very happy to be here and I feel very blessed to know you, to know your work.”

“I am very happy to be here and I feel very blessed to know you, to know your work, and I extend the gratitude in behalf of our President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr., in a manner that will allow you to continue to perpetuate the good work that you’re doing,” the tourism chief added.

As an added support to the tourism projects of Lake Sebu that are anticipated to bring more livelihood opportunities to the communities, the tourism head announced the DOT’s forthcoming establishment of a Tourist Rest Area (TRA) in Lake Sebu.

She also announced the DOT’s commitment to assist in improving the resort’s docking facility and in the completion of its culture center.

As a personal gift to the province’s tourism frontliners, the DOT chief distributed free accident insurance and tour guide kits to tour guides.

Representing South Cotabato Provincial Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Board Member Miguel Matino expressed support to the Department’s tourism plans.

“Sa binigay ngayon ng ating Secretary sa South Cotabato, ma’am, kung ano man po ang gusto nyong mangyari sa Lake Sebu, handa po kaming tumulong,” the Board Member said.

“You are not only complementing us, you are not only supporting us, but you inspire us to do more.”

“You know, [Sec.], as what I have said kanina, you are not only complementing us, you are not only supporting us, but you inspire us to do more. It will encourage the local government of South Cotabato, even in the region, especially sa local government unit under this humble leadership,” Lake Sebu Municipal Mayor Remie Unggol said.
