DOT BRINGS ‘BISITA, BE MY GUEST’ TO SINGAPORE

The Department of Tourism (DOT) brings its online referral tourism program to Singapore, encouraging more Filipinos based in the Lion City to champion Philippine tourism.

Speaking virtually during the recent launch event in Singapore, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco emphasized how Bisita, Be My Guest (BBMG) has grown from being an incentive travel program “to fostering meaningful connections,” primarily to Filipinos who have left the country but want to rediscover the Philippines.

“We invite all of you to join in this incentive of a lifetime that can bring you to a journey like no other.”

“On behalf of the Department of Tourism and every proud Filipino, I extend our warmest welcome and invitation to all of you to become our tourism ambassadors as we work towards President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos’ vision of conforming the Philippines into a tourism powerhouse in Asia. As we celebrate the latest BBMG winners, we invite all of you to join in this incentive of a lifetime that can bring you to a journey like no other,” Frasco said.

The tourism chief then invited guests present during the launch to join the program and invite their families and friends to visit the Philippines with a chance to win prizes. She also thanked the public for continuously supporting the DOT’s partnership program with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

“Invite your colleagues, foreign friends to a whole new Philippine experience that is infused with a Filipino charm, warmth, and hospitality.”

“Invite your colleagues, foreign friends to a whole new Philippine experience that is infused with a Filipino charm, warmth, and hospitality where diversity meets with unity, tradition thrives with modernity, and every nook and cranny echoes beauty and the allure of nature’s charm. To all of our guest participants, thank you for your support in making Bisita, Be My Guest a wonderful collaboration among the public and private tourism sectors. Let us continue to celebrate all the reasons to love the Philippines one guest at a time,” the tourism head added.

Representing Frasco at the BBMG Singapore launch program, Assistant Secretary Maria Rica Bueno joined Ambassador Medardo Macaraig of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore, Assistant Labor Attache Eduard Ferrer, and Philippine Airlines Regional Head of Southeast Asia Marie Jemma Saranillo also graced the event.

The BBMG event in Singapore is jointly organized by DOT and its marketing arm, Tourism Promotions Board (TPB). Teresita Landan, manager of Domestic Promotions Department represented TPB Chief Operating Officer (COO) Marga Nograles.
