DOH Officer-in-Charge Undersecretary and Chief-of-Staff Dr. Gloria Balboa led the provision of assistance to the communities affected by the eruption of Mayon Volcano in the province of Albay.

“Makakaasa ang publiko, lalong-lalo na sa ating mga kababayan sa Albay, na patuloy ang Kagawaran ng Kalusugan sa pagbabahagi ng tulong para sa mga Pilipinong naapektuhan ng pag-aalburoto ng Bulkang Mayon,” Herbosa stressed.

Wearing a face mask and protective gears for your eyes, and coverings for your skin are also advisable to remain safe during volcanic activities and eruptions.
Should an individual become exposed to harmful gases brought about by volcanic activity, immediately seek medical attention or contact the nearest hospital for initial assessment and management.
