The Department of Health (DOH) led by Secretary Ted Herbosa, and Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC) Medical Center Chief Dr. Evelyn Victoria Reside, launched the Psychiatry Ward and Complex in QMMC and 36th Bagong Urgent Care Ambulatory Service Center (BUCAS) Center, in time for the celebration of National Mental Health Week.
The inauguration of the Psychiatry Ward and Complex in QMMC is evidence of the Department’s continuous dedication to enhance mental health services since the enactment of the Mental Health Act in 2017.

“We are working to improve mental health services, expand access to care, and promote overall well-being for all Filipinos dahil sa bagong Pilipinas, bawat buhay ay mahalaga,” the health chief added.
Also present in the QMMC Psychiatry Ward and Complex and BUCAS Center were DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire and other officials from QMMC, Philippine Psychiatric Association (PPA), and San Miguel Foundation.
