Government employees may enjoy special treats from various establishments during the month-long Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) in September.
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has teamed up with numerous public and private institutions to offer discounts and freebies to the 1.9 million civil servants and retired government workers nationwide, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.
“Ang special treats na ito ay pagkilala sa dedikasyon at serbisyo ng mga kawani na nagsisilbing pundasyon ng ating pamahalaan.”
“Ang PCSA ay anibersaryo ng lahat ng mga kawani sa lahat ng ahensya ng gobyerno. Kaya naman ang special treats na ito ay pagkilala sa dedikasyon at serbisyo ng mga kawani na nagsisilbing pundasyon ng ating pamahalaan,” CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles said.
To avail of the discounts, government employees must present their government agency ID or UMID card to the partner establishments.
Those under Job Order and Contract of Service may also avail of the special treats by presenting their government agency ID card.

Civil servants may also enjoy discounted rates from purchases at the SM Foodcourt and SM Store, Trax Records Manila, and 2 Hands Massage and Wellness.
Furthermore, Metro Rail Transit 3 and Light Rail Transit – Line 2 are set to give free rides on 18 to 20 September 2024 while the Bank of the Philippine Islands will give freebies and gift certificates for government officials and employees upon successful digital account opening.
Travbest Travel & Tours Co. and AutoDox Car Care Center also offer discounts on travel and services.
Civil servants in Regions 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and Caraga are also set to enjoy treats and discounts in various services and partner establishments.

About the PCSA
The annual PCSA celebration is in observance of the establishment of the Philippine Civil Service on 19 September 1900 by virtue of Public Law No. 5, “An Act for the Establishment and Maintenance of an Efficient and Honest Civil Service in the Philippine Islands”.
For this year, the PCSA celebration shall focus on the importance of sustainable management for the achievement of a future-ready civil service, as reflected in the ten-year theme, “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes”.
