The Department of Education and the Province of Davao Oriental are working together to increase the number of qualified teachers hired.
This joint effort is focused on improving access to high-quality education for all students while also meeting the demand for deserving educators.
“We are now conducting the recruitment and evaluation of teacher-applicants for elementary, Junior High, and Senior High School teaching positions for SY 2023-2024 pursuant to DepEd Order No.007, s.2023 Guidelines on Recruitment, Selection, and Appointment in the Department of Education. The teacher-applicants will also be evaluated based on their localization, character, and efficiency,” said Dr. Josephine Fadul, Local School Board Co-Chairman/Schools Division of Superintendent of DepEd Davao Oriental, during the Local School Board meeting recently.
“The teacher-applicants will also be evaluated based on their localization, character, and efficiency.”
DepEd’s commitment to hiring additional teachers for the 2023-2024 academic year highlights their dedication to providing top-notch education to all students.
This move also addresses the issue of volunteer teachers who are LET passers and have passed DepEd’s Davao Oriental’s Registry of Qualified Applicants (RQA) but have not been appointed to plantilla positions.
Governor Corazon Malanyaon expressed her empathy towards the local school board members and the volunteer teachers who have been waiting for years to fill the plantilla positions they deserve. DepEd is working hard to address these pressing issues by collaborating with various organizations and conducting evaluations.
