With the assistance of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and its Kadiwa truck, the Itbayat Garlic Producers Association from Batanes delivered 600 kilograms of garlic to the DA Kadiwa Center in Quezon City recently.
The DA-Regional Field Office (RFO) in Cagayan Valley assisted the Itbayat farmers in transporting their products from the Sual Port in Pangasinan to Metro Manila.
The institutional buyers picked up the P78,000-worth of garlic they ordered through the DA-Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (AMAS).

The DA-AMAS also assisted different farmers’ cooperatives and associations in the delivery of 691.95 kilograms of garlic amounting to P72,786.25 from February to July 2022.
