Thousands of government officials and employees nationwide are set to join the benefit fun run organized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on September 1, 2024.
The event dubbed โ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฅ๐๐ป: ๐ง๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฏ๐ผ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ ๐บ๐ด๐ฎ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐-๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฒ๐,โ aims to foster physical and mental well-being among the 1.9 million civil servants working in various government agencies as part of the celebration of the month-long Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) in September.
CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles emphasized the significance of the event.ย
โOur goal is to host an event that carries profound meaning and purpose for all participants.โ
“As we begin the 124th PCSA, our goal is to host an event that carries profound meaning and purpose for all participants,โ Nograles said.
โVibeRun goes beyond the act of running. It serves as a meaningful way to contribute. The funds raised will directly benefit the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani (PLBi) Program of the CSC, providing essential financial support to the families of civil servants who lost their lives in the line of duty,โ the CSC chief added.
The CSCโs PLBi Program is a tribute to slain/deceased government employees by giving them a one-time financial assistance of P100,000, a plaque of recognition, and scholarship grants to the deceased employeeโs immediate family member.
Since its inception in 2011, the PLBi program has supported a total of 249 awardees nationwide.
โOur goal is to host an event that carries profound meaning and purpose for all participants.โ
Nograles also encouraged government agencies across the country to send representatives to participate in the fun run with two running categories: 3km and 5km.
In the National Capital Region (NCR) and Region 4, the VibeRun organized by the CSC NCR at the Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park Luneta in Manila City will showcase a vibrant display of color and celebration with the incorporation of Holi powder, a safe and lively substance traditionally used during the Holi festival in India and Nepal.
Twenty thousand runners representing various government offices in NCR and Region 4 are expected to participate.
To participate in the VibeRun, individuals can register at bit.ly/4cY75dU until 29 August 2024.
