Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairperson Karlo Nograles invites civil servants looking to improve their skills and competencies to enroll in the online learning and development (L&D) programs offered by the CSC.
These programs are designed to address the evolving needs of public service, ensuring that civil servants are well-equipped to meet contemporary challenges.
“As civil servants, it is essential that we continuously update our knowledge and skills to keep pace with new advancements. The CSC, through the Civil Service Institute (CSI), offers various courses on human resource (HR) and organizational development (OD) aimed to help us become effective public servants who are the foundation of a strong bureaucracy,” said Chairperson Nograles.
In partnership with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the BDO Foundation, the CSI will conduct the Financial Education course for government officials and employees on 13 to 14 June 2024. The 10-hour seminar will enable participants to apply various tools, tips, and techniques in financial decision-making toward acquiring financial health and freedom.
There will also be a Competency-Based Human Resource Management System (CBHRMS) training program for HR management officers from 5 June 2024 to 11 June 2024. The program shall introduce the principles, processes, and practices of effectively developing CBHRMS to build and enhance workforce competencies to improve organizational outcomes.
“All these courses are offered online through the CSC-Learning Management System (CSC-LMS), providing convenience and accessibility for all. We are looking forward to having government employees join us in the development interventions and opportunities that the CSI has prepared. “
On 14 June 2024, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Workplace course will equip heads of agencies and HR management officials and employees with insights into cutting-edge AI applications, an understanding of its potential benefits and challenges, and strategies to leverage AI effectively in the workplace.
HR practitioners from government agencies nationwide may enroll in the two-day Levels of Learning Evaluation program on 18 to 20 June 2024. This course shall enable L&D practitioners to determine learning needs and draft learning evaluation processes and tools based on their assessment.
Meanwhile, executives, leaders, managers, division chiefs, and supervisors or equivalent positions may enroll in the Emotional Intelligence and Leadership course to be conducted from 18 to 19 June 2024. The program aims to develop leadership self-awareness and discover how to strengthen emotional intelligence as leaders through a concrete Emotional Intelligence Self-Development Action Plan.
The one-day CSI Leadership Series forum on 21 June 2024 will equip public sector executives, managers, directors, and chiefs with effective management and leadership practices as well as emerging trends in leadership from exemplary leaders, organizations, and leadership gurus.
Lastly, CSI invites civil servants to learn at their own pace and time with self-paced courses. For this month, the self-paced Leadership in the Digital Era course, available from 26 June to 26 August, will enable participants to appreciate and embrace digital leadership especially in transitioning to the new normal toward strategic leadership and organizational transformation.
“All these courses are offered online through the CSC-Learning Management System (CSC-LMS), providing convenience and accessibility for all. We are looking forward to having government employees join us in the development interventions and opportunities that the CSI has prepared,” said Chairperson Nograles.
A certificate of completion with leadership and managerial training hours will be given to participants who have successfully completed the online course and its requirements.
