The Civil Service Commission (CSC) recently launched its own TikTok channel to reach out to the younger segment of the population needing information about its programs, policies, and services.
The channel, with the handle @civilservicegovph, has garnered more than 9,000 followers since it started last 30 January 2023.
Rest assured that the CSC will continue to uphold transparency and accessibility in government service using social media.”
Among others, it regularly posts cuts of “CSC in Action”, its newest weekly segment on PTV hosted by CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles. One of the videos, posted on 9 February featuring the schedule of civil service examinations this year, has already garnered more than 522,000 views.
Another video posted on 13 February, where Nograles is seen explaining what the Career Service Examination is about, has garnered more than 16,000 views in a span of one day.
Chairperson Nograles said that the CSC TikTok’s early popularity among users shows the demand for civil service-related information in social media.
The CSC Facebook Page (/civilservicegovph), which began in April 2016, has 1,181,022 followers by end of last year, and a total reach of 12.9 million and visits of 3.2 million for the entire 2022. The CSC YouTube Channel (@CSCPHmedia) has 4.96K subscribers, who receive regular updates on the agency’s video content about stories of outstanding government workers, and important civil service policies, among others.
Rest assured that the CSC will continue to uphold transparency and accessibility in government service using social media.”
Meanwhile, “CSC in Action” is broadcasted on PTV’s “Ulat Bayan Weekend” every Saturday, from 6 to 7 p.m. (with replays on Sundays), on PTV channels nationwide and its Facebook and YouTube accounts.
