A total of 38,587 kaprobinsiaan and tourists visited the Pasko sa Kapitolyo 2023 Lighting Ceremony at the Provincial Capitol Hill, City of San Fernando, La Union recently.
This year’s Pasko sa Kapitolyo continued to use artificial snow to bring life to the event, veering away with fireworks and traditional activities that may harm the environment.
“Ang tunay na hiwaga ng kapaskuhan dito sa La Union ay ang ating sama samang pagpaparamdam ng pagmamahal sa bawat isang kaprobinsiaan. Ito po talaga ang ating sikreto para sa mas masayang Christmas,” Governor Rafy Ortega-David stressed in her message.

Inflatable playgrounds, mascots, and stilt walkers also brought enjoyment to kids while performances from the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University Chorale, Saint Louis College Marching Band, TagaElyu Band, and Don Pedring Orchestra wowed the spectators in their performances.
ProbinSAYAWAN, an open dance competition for different age groups highlighted kaprobinsiaan talents. Kaprobinsiaan were entertained by artists from GMA Network as the Kapuso Night also took the stage.
Attractions that are open daily until the end of the year include the Carnival featuring breathtaking rides and the Christmas Bazaar selling products of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
