The Department of Public Works and Highways announced that a new female barracks building is in the works at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
DPWH National Capital Regional Director Nomer Abel Canlas, together with Armed Forces of the Philippines Civil Relations Service (AFPCRS) Commander Major General Manuel Sequitin PA and other officials, held a recent groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction for the three-storey building that will serve as female barracks of the Civil Relations Service.
The three-storey building will serve as female barracks of the Civil Relations Service.
With total funding of ₱52 million, the new building will occupy a 1,620-square-meter area at Camp Aguinaldo.
The first two floors will house the headquarters and offices while the living quarters will be on the third floor.
“The barracks building will address the inadequate, outdated facilities inside the camp.”
“Constructing this barracks building is our way of showing our continued support to our dedicated AFP officers and enlisted personnel, at the same time to address the inadequate, outdated facilities inside the camp,” Canlas said.
To date, the barracks building is one of the four ongoing TIKAS projects being implemented at Camp Aguinaldo that are funded under the convergence program of DPWH and the Department of National Defense.
