A total of P235 million in bypass road projects will be constructed in Pampanga as part of an effort to decongest the traffic situation in the province.
In a simple groundbreaking ceremony recently, Pampanga 3rd District Representative Dong Gonzales led the capsule laying of the three-kilometer Sta. Ana-Arayat package 1 and 2 projects amounting to P160 million, and the Aquino Byway Extension in the City of San Fernando worth P75 million.
The budget allocation for the construction of the bypass road Sta. Ana-Arayat package, which is 20 meters in width and 30 inches thickness, includes right-of-way clearance and filling of low-lying areas.

The legislator said the landmark projects that will ease the traffic situation in and out of the province is a collective effort of the national, provincial government, and the local government units in Pampanga.
The Sta. Ana-Arayat bypass road will connect the towns of Arayat and Mexico all the way to North Luzon Expressway (NLEx).
The lawmaker said his congressional district, along with the Department of Public Works and Highways in Central Luzon is eyeing another bridge concept somewhere in the San Fernando City.
