Senator Bong Go led the Malasakit sa Kooperatiba Awarding Ceremony for Cooperative Beneficiaries of Region VIII at Brgy. Maulong Covered Court, Catbalogan City.

Samar Governor Sharee Ann Tan shared her appreciation to which she said, “We are grateful that Sen. Bong Go has always helped the Province of Samar, not only with the cash assistance for our cooperatives, but for many other developments in our province. With this, I hope that we will support each other to support our community.”

The 2nd District Representative Reynolds Michael Tan, has likewise expressed his gratitude as the senator has been instrumental in the growth of the Province.
In the event, 23 cooperatives from all over Region 8 received P50,000.00 cash assistance through the Office of Senator Bong Go which totaled to P1,150,000.
The cooperatives identified by Cooperative Development Authority were micro-cooperatives or those that have assets worth P3M below, compliant with CDA’s yearly requirements as evidenced by a Certificate of Compliance, and those with Official Receipt.
From the 23 cooperatives, 2 are from Samar Province, 1 from Northern Samar, 3 from Biliran, 3 from Eastern Samar, 3 from Ormoc City, 7 from Leyte, and 4 from Southern Leyte.
