Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado has issued Executive Order No. 17, series of 2024 lifting the African swine fever (ASF) border checkpoints at Dauis Bridge as of May 3, 2024.
The directive identified Purok 5 of Brgy. Mayacabac and Purok 2 of Brgy. Mariveles as the infected premises.
Meanwhile, Barangay of Biking as well as the rest of the puroks in Mayacabac and Mariveles have been reclassified to ASF Quarantine Area-Level 2.
“The Department of Agriculture 7-Regional Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory release the laboratory results of all samples collected from the barangay of Biking, barangay of Mayacabac except purok 5 and Mariveles except purok 2 stating the absence of the ASF virus in the said barangays,” Aumentado stated in his Executive Order No. 17.
“Disease surveillance and random blood sample collection for ASF testing along with Information and Education Campaigns will continue in ASF Quarantine Area-Level 2 areas.”
The named barangays have been reclassified as ASP Quarantine Area-Level 2 status.

In addition, movement of pig, of all ages, going outside the municipality of Dauis shall require ASF negative test, livestock inspection certificate, and barangay certification as to the source of pig.
“Pigs shall also undergo ASF rapid testing to certify the absence of AS infection before slaughter,” he stressed in his EO.
