BOHOL GOV’T ASSISTS DISPLACED RESORT WORKERS

The Provincial Government of Bohol, through the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development (OPSWD), provided financial assistance to the displaced workers of Captain’s Peak Garden and Resort.

The resort had been a subject of congressional probe after it was discovered that it did not have the necessary permit to operate in the Chocolate Hills area.

The provincial government prepared P10,000 in financial aid, as well as rice and canned goods, for fifteen workers at Captain’s Peak.


The OPSWD, headed by Mita Tecson, prepared P10,000 in financial aid, as well as rice and canned goods, for fifteen workers at Captain’s Peak.

Governor Aris Aumentado visited the workers along with Board Member Jamie Aumentado Villamor, Mayor Restituto Suarez III, and SB Member Jel Camacho at the Sagbayan Municipal Hall in Sagbayan.

In his message, Aumentado expressed that the provincial government cares for these workers and cannot allow them to be left in their current situation, while the new guidelines for the operation of establishments within the protected area are still being finalized.

As part of the Strategic Change Agenda on inclusive social services, the Provincial Government of Bohol strives to ensure no one is left behind.
