Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez recently led the official launching of the Bacolod Sunday Market and Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP).
This was done in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and with the support of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), National Food Authority (NFA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
“The KNP Sunday Market will be held weekly from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. to boost local agriculture.”

With the city’s support, the Bacolod City Integrated Small Farmers and its 16 associations are showcasing fresh vegetables, crops, seafood, delicacies, and homemade products every Sunday.
“These would be available whole-year-round.”
“Let’s support our local farmers and producers. This also helps ensure that our products are clean and healthy. These would be available whole-year-round,” the mayor stressed.
The Sunday market also offers free medicines to visitors, farmers, and fisherfolk.
This initiative aims to boost local agriculture by providing a dedicated marketplace for farmers and fishers while promoting a healthier lifestyle for Bacolodnons.
It also encourages the community to support local farmers and producers.
