BACOLOD CITY TREE PARK TO FEATURE GLAMPING AREA

Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez announced the construction of a glamping area and picnic grove as he recently unveiled the Bacolod City Tree Park, a legacy project for Bacolod City, during a blessing and groundbreaking in Brgy. Alangilan.

“We have earmarked almost P50 million for the first phase. We still start with a few areas,” Benitez explained. “The total master plan has an estimated cost of P500 million, so we’re still in the 10 percent of the plan.”

“We will provide facilities for you to spend overnight.”

“Commune with nature, this is the place to be. We designed it in such a way nga pwede kamo ka picnic,” the mayor added. “We will provide facilities for you to spend overnight.”

The Tree Park will cover 8.7 hectares and include facilities such as a picnic/camping area, a children’s playground, and a reception/pavilion building.

“This is probably one of the remaining areas where the trees have remained untouched.”

The event was attended by Congressman Greg Gasataya, Almana CEO Richie Niel Corpus, Vice Mayor El Vid Familiaran, Bacolod City Councilors Em Ang, Israel Salanga, Cindy Rojas, El Cid Familiaran, Jason Villarosa, Al Espino, Thaddy Sayson, Celia Flor, Lady Gles Pallen, Bacolod City Director PCOL Joeresty Coronica, City Engineering Office, department heads along with Bacolod barangay captains.
