Mayor Albee Benitez brought the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA)-BBM Sugar Program to Bacolod City.
Through the SRA-DA (Department of Agriculture) Kadiwa, sugar is old at P70/kilo only.
“The intervention of the national government, by the President (Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.), is to ensure that we have cheap food products,” Benitez said.
“Eventually, it will include rice and other food products.”
“It starts with sugar because the sugar mills are just nearby. Eventually, it will include rice and other food products,” the mayor added.
Refined sugar is sold at P70 per kilo at the BCGC through our City Cooperative and Livelihood Development office (CCLDO).
