ARTISTS BACK KIKO PANGILINAN’S SENATE BID

Several prominent figures in the entertainment industry came in full force to express strong support for the senatorial run of former Senator Kiko Pangilinan in the upcoming May polls.

Present during the Artists’ Night hosted by Pangilinan and his wife, actress Sharon Cuneta at a Makati restaurant were singers Ogie Alcasid, Jed Madela, Darren Espanto, Jona, Jim Paredes, Raymond Launchengco, Victoria, Bayang Barrios, and Cookie Chua.

Actresses Iza Calzado, Angel Aquino, Mylene Dizon, Pinky Amador, Nikki Valdez, and Pia Magalona, actor/host Robi Domingo, Leo Martinez, Arsi Baltazar, Olive Isidro, comedian Pooh, and managers Noel Ferrer and GR Rodis also aired their commitment to back Pangilinan’s candidacy.

The former senator expressed his gratitude, saying he’s deeply honored and inspired by the overwhelming support from the entertainment industry.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa inyong pagsuporta sa akin at sa aking ipinaglalaban para sa seguridad sa pagkain, kapakanan ng ating mga magsasaka at tapat na pamamahala,” Pangilinan said.

The expression of support came days after Pangilinan made it to the Magic 12 of the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) senatorial survey commissioned by Stratbase.

Pangilinan grabbed a share of 11th-13th places with two other candidates with a 29 percent rating, a vast improvement from 15th place and a 20 percent rating in December 2024.

“We wish to thank our volunteers, supporters, and the voters who have come out to support our reelection bid. I hope and pray that with our people’s continued support we can sustain the upward trajectory,” he said on Facebook.
