Parents in Angeles City have extended their gratitude to Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. for initiating the distribution of school gear and items to 433 day care students in 8 day care centers in the city.
Parents of the kid-beneficiaries expressed their thanks through social media, indicating Lazatin’s genuine care to the educational welfare of students in the city.
“Thank u po Mayor Lazatin, laking tulong po ‘yan para sa mga batang walang-wala,” Lyn Don Duran wrote.
“Sobrang blessed po kaming mga Angeleños kasi kayo po naging Mayor namin. Maraming maraming salamat po Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr.,” Rizel Caliliw Balajadia addressed.

Beneficiaries each received their own backpacks, school shoes, socks, complete set of school supplies, textbooks, crayons and coloring pads.
Among the day care centers visited by Mayor Lazatin were Sapalibutad Centro, Cubul, Pavillion, Pulung Cacutud, EPZA I, EPZA II, Cutud, and Northville 15.
The distribution to the remaining 64 Day Care centers will follow suit.
This is the second year of his distribution of school gear and supplies to make learning conducive for Angeleño students.
“Masaya po tayo na nagawa nating ipagpatuloy ang pamamahagi ng gamit pang-eskwela sa mga bata,” Lazatin said.
City Social Welfare and Development Officer Edna Duaso and City Nutrition Office chief, Jermaine Jam Aguila assisted the mayor during the distribution.
Meanwhile, Day Care students also gave thank you notes to Lazatin for the efforts of the Angeles City Government for catering their needs as students.
In return, he expressed his joy over the sweet gesture of the kids, whom he said are included in his priorities.
More than 100,000 sets of school gear and supplies were prepared by the city government to cover all students from 55 public schools—kindergarten to grade 12, and 72 Child Development Centers.
