The Angeles City government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., started the administration of free anti-flu vaccines to the first batch of city government employees at the City Council.
Lazatin deployed the Ronda Bakuna bus to fast-track the inoculation, where members of the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office headed by Rodolfo Simeon, City Health Office led by Dr. Verona Guevarra, Gender and Development Office headed by Mina Cabiles, and City Human Resources and Management Office led by Rowena Yambao will lead the vaccination.
A team was supervised by Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.
A total of 4,682 city government employees benefited from the said free vaccination.
A total of 4,682 city government employees — 889 permanent; 328 casual; 15 contractual; and 3,450 contract of service employees — benefited from the said free vaccination.
“This is part of our promise that we will continue to put top priority on the health of our workers since they are vital in providing the services needed by our constituents,” Lazatin said.
