All 4,744 employees – elected, co-terminus, casual, and contract of service – each received 10 kilos of rice and ham recently from the city government of Angeles, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr.
Among the beneficiaries of the rice subsidy and food packages are the 915 permanent, 329 casual, 16 contractual personnel; and 3,484 COS employees.
Flordeliza Santos, president of the Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (AGENDA), expressed gratitude to Lazatin for his kindness not just to the city hall employees, but also to their families.
“Hindi po namin inaasahan na bukod sa mga benepisyo na bonus ay may rice subsidy at ham pa.”

According to her, this is heartwarming news apart from the P21,000 additional benefits for the 1,260 permanent, casual, and contractual workers and P3,000 year-end gratuity for 3,484 COS personnel.
“Mula noong unang pag-upo po niya bilang mayor hanggang ngayon po ay hindi nagbago ang kanyang malasakit sa ating mga employees.”
“Mula noong unang pag-upo po niya bilang mayor hanggang ngayon po ay hindi nagbago ang kanyang malasakit sa ating mga employees. Muli po, maraming salamat po Mayor Pogi! Mabuhay po kayo,” Santos furthered.
Aside from the 10 kilos of rice and hams, all employees got a chance to win prizes in this year’s City Hall Employees Recognition Night.
Lazatin awarded certificates of recognition and cash incentives to 86 city hall employees for the year 2024.
“Sa tulong ninyong lahat, ay muling nakamit ng siyudad ang Seal of Good Local Governance for the second consecutive year,” the mayor said.
“Palakpakan po ninyo ang inyong mga sarili. Maraming salamat po sa inyong walang sawang sipag at dedikasyon,” he concluded.
