Through the efforts of 6th District Representative Cong. Benny Abante, Tulay Pangarap – Abante Footbridge was inaugurated in the City of Manila.
The said bridge is the first footbridge along Pasig River connecting Punta Sta. Ana to Sta. Ana Proper in the city.
Mayor Honey Lacuna lauded Abante for the historic bridge.
“Ang Tulay Pangarap ay tulay rin ng pagmamahal ni Cong. Benny Abante.”
“Ang Tulay Pangarap ay tulay rin ng pagmamahal ni Cong. Benny Abante,” Lacuna stressed.
A project of DPWH in cooperation with the City of Manila, the suspension bridge is equipped with solar panels and lights for illumination during nighttime for the safety of the residents passing.
“Tara na’t tumawid patungo sa pagtupad ng ating mga pangarap.”
“Natupad na natin ang pangarap ng Punta. Kaya tara na’t tumawid patungo sa pagtupad ng ating mga pangarap,” Abante said.
Joining the veteran legislator and the lady mayor in the event are Councilors of the sixth district of Manila, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) South Manila District Engineer Mike Macud.
Kapisanan ng Nagkakaisang Kapitan ng Punta at Sta Ana President Chairman Gelo Abanes and other brgy chairmen and officials, along with residents of Punta and Sta. Ana, were also present.
