Rizal province residence who are in need of medical care can look forward having convenient access to quick medical and financial assistance.
This was the assurance given by former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) and senatoriable Bong Go at the rally of the Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) political party held at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
An adopted son of the CALABARZON Region via a “Manifesto of Support” signed and certified by Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon Provincial Governors on February 10, 2019, Go spoke before a crowd composed of Rizal provincial government officials, Antipolo City government officials, local leaders, and residents of the area.
According to the former presidential aide, easy access to medical services would be made possible via a Malasakit Center to be established soon in the province.
“Easy access to medical services would be made possible via a Malasakit Center.”
“Matutulungan po kayo ng Malasakit Center pagdating sa inyong pangangailangang pangkalusugan,” he announced.
The Malasakit Center, an initiative Go supported during his time in the government, would aid patients or their family members in applying for assistance from different government agencies such as the Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, PhilHealth, and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
In line with the Malasakit Center program, he vowed to help increase the salary of nurses and help barangay health workers get better benefits.
“I will help increase the salary of nurses and help barangay health workers.”
“Tutulungan ko po ang mga kapatid natin na nurse pagdating sa kanilang sahod. Pati na din ang mga barangay health workers natin, aasikasuhin natin na makakuha sila ng mga maayos na benepisyo mula sa gobyerno,” Go said.
He shared other plans that are part of his legislative agenda including the establishment of TienDA Malasakit Stores in major commercial areas, giving the National Housing Authority (NHA) a bigger budget to address the need for accessible quality housing, as well as enabling the Department of Education (DepEd) and local government units (LGUs) to release funds for free uniforms and school supplies of children.
Go also wants LGUs to establish youth and development centers as well as negotiate with rebels in different localities to attain peace in their areas. He vowed as well to help empower LGUs through the Magna Carta for Barangay Officials that would provide standard salaries and benefits to them, apart from the honoraria that they currently receive.
A candidate in the May 2019 Senate race, Go has a legislative agenda with programs for agriculture, accessible housing, improved health service delivery, education for Filipinos in various sectors, long-term sports development, fire protection and prevention, localized peace talks, anti-drugs and crime drive, anti-corruption drive, barangay welfare, the creation of a Department of Overseas Filipino Workers, and the establishment of a senior citizens commission.
