NEW ARMORED VEHICLE FOR ILOILO CITY SWAT

The Iloilo City Government has officially turned over a brand-new armored vehicle to the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO).

“This significant addition to our law enforcement capabilities highlights the strong collaboration between the local government and the private sector in upholding the safety and security of our city,” Mayor Jerry Treñas said.

“The armored vehicle will greatly enhance the SWAT team’s operational efficiency, protection, and mobility in responding to high-risk situations.”

The vehicle was generously donated by Mr. Chiu Rhett Cembrano of Golden Delta.


“Through the generous donation of Mr. Chiu Rhett Cembrano of Golden Delta, Iloilo City officially receives an armored vehicle designated for the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO),” the mayor said.


In January 2025, the city government handed over three new patrol cars, firearms, and other essential equipment to further enhance the ICPO’s operational capabilities.


“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Cembrano for his steadfast support and commitment to public safety. With this new asset, we continue to strengthen our peace and order initiatives as we work towards a safer, more resilient, and more secure Iloilo City,” he stressed.
