4K RUNNERS JOIN 1ST OGP FUN RUN — MMDA

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Department of Budget and Management (DBM), and the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) successfully conducted the first-ever Open Government Partnership (OGP) Fun Run, as a prelude to the upcoming PH-OGP Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting (APRM) in February.

The OGP Fun Run 2025 began as early as 5 a.m. at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila. Almost 4,000 participants joined the event.

Offering three race distances of 3km, 5km and 10km, the OGP Fun Run aims not only to promote health and wellness but also to highlight the Philippine’s commitment to the OGP cornerstones and its role as a leader in promoting open government practices in the Asia Pacific region.

MMDA Chairman Don Artes said the OGP fun run fosters strengthened collaboration and coordination among all stakeholders towards national progress anchored in people-centric governance, aligning with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s vision of a more unified and progressive country, a Bagong Pilipinas (New Philippines).

“The fun run served as an avenue for the public to gather and show support to the Marcos administration’s advocacy.”
