The Angeles City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., started the house-to-house distribution of P3,000 financial assistance, and Vitamin C supplements to 17 bedridden senior citizens and five senior citizen, aged 90-99 years old, in Barangay Sta. Teresita.
Lazatin was with members of the Barangay Sta. Teresita Council, headed by Captain Joel Sanchez, during the distribution.
Some 664 registered bedridden senior citizens and 612 registered senior citizens will receive cash aid and Vitamin C supplements.
Some 664 registered bedridden senior citizens and 612 registered senior citizens, aged 90-99 years old, from the 33 barangays in the city will receive cash aid, and Vitamin C supplements.
The mayor said this is to continue prioritizing the needs of the bedridden elderly and 90-99 years old.
Apart from assistance and free vaccines, bedridden elderly and 90-99 years old will also receive free medical check-up and laboratory tests.

Members of the Office for the Senior Citizens Affairs, headed by Eduardo Torres, led the distribution of the assistance.
Torres said that this initiative to deliver the assistance started in 2019 when the mayor assumed office.
It is only during Lazatin’s stint that registered seniors received cash aid and Vitamins C.
The welfare of the elderly has been his priority.
