The completion of a critical road rehabilitation project on steep slopes by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will benefit motorists and residents in Tublay, Benguet.
Spanning 110 lineal meters, the project involves items for slope protection such as erosion control mat, permanent ground control, and active wire mesh system to restore road safety and accessibility in a landslide-prone area along the Gov. Bado Dangwa National Road.
In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, DPWH CAR Director Khadaffy Tanggol highlighted that the project addresses the pressing need for erosion control and slope stabilization in the main road of Barangay Tublay Central.
“The intervention was necessary to prevent disruptions caused by landslides and rockfalls, which previously posed significant risks to commuters and nearby communities.”
