In recognition of her dedication and commitment as a public servant, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte has been feted anew as the regional winner and semifinalist in the national level for the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award.
Belmonte, along with her father, former mayor and House Speaker Sonny Belmonte, received the award from Civil Service Commission officials during a simple awarding ceremony.
“Lubos tayong nagpapasalamat sa CSC-NCR sa pagkilalang ito na nagpapatibay na ang ating mga proyekto’t programa para sa mga QCitizens ay tunay na epektibo,” the lady mayor said.

She was also recognized last year as a regional winner and national semifinalist for the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, for her commitment to protect and promote the rights and welfare of vulnerable sectors especially women and children.
Quezon City was the only local government unit (LGU) in the National Capital Region (NCR) to bring home three awards, after Business Permits and Licensing Department (BPLD) Head Margie Mejia and Quezon City University (QCU) President Dr. Theresita Atienza were honored as CSC Pag-asa Awardees.
