AKO BICOL Party-list Second Nominee Atty. Alfredo Garbin, Jr. has filed his certificate of nomination and acceptance at the Comelec field office at The Manila Hotel Tent City.
Garbin said the First Nominee is incumbent Representative Elizaldy Co, and the Third Nominee is Atty. John Chan. He said Rep. Jil Bongalon is running for First District Representative in Albay Province.
Garbin said he chose to run for Congress instead of run again in Legazpi City because he can do more in Congress.
“Bumalik ako sa Kongreso kasi mas makakatulong ako doon.”

Garbin pointed out that since 2010, AKO BICOL Party-list has had an unbroken chain of service in Congress winning 2 or 3 seats per election.

“Wala ho kaming nakukuhang pondo but we initiate funding” for schools, infrastructure, and services in the budgets of the various departments, Garbin explained.
He also said he remains committed to removing restrictive economic provisions in the 1987 Constitution, while hoping the Senate will move forward a joint resolution empowering Congress to loosen foreign investment restrictions through enabling laws.
“It’s really up to the Senate.”
