President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Speaker Martin Romualdez, Tingog Partylist Representatives Yedda Romualdez and Jude Acidre, Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sec. Rex Gatchalian, and other partners have joined forces again to deliver more than P90 million in aid to 11,808 beneficiaries from various sectors in the Davao Region, including healthcare workers, students, youth and teachers.
Through President Marcos’s flagship program, Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP), initiated by the House of Representatives through the Speaker with DSWD as implementing agency, House Deputy Secretary General Ponyong Gabonada announced the latest AKAP payouts across Davao Region, benefiting thousands of individuals and families in the amount of at least P91.95 million.
“With the instruction of President Marcos, we will continue to deliver direct assistance to our people, especially with the good news about the inflation last month that eased to 1.9 percent from 3.3 percent in August and 4.4 percent in July,” Romualdez said.
“From the national level down to local officials, President Marcos is working very hard through unity and cooperation to deliver meaningful support and uplift the lives of the Filipino people,” the veteran legislator added.
“Tingog will always work hard to ensure that aid will be delivered to those who need it most.”

Gabonada said the AKAP event was held in Davao de Oro State College New Bataan Campus, benefiting 2,190 students who received P2,000 each, for a total of P4.38 million.
He said it was attended by reelectionist Senator Bong Revilla Jr., Davao de Oro 1st District Representative Maricar Zamora, and other local leaders of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) from the towns of New Bataan, Monkayo, Compostela, Montevista, Maragusan, Maco, Nabunturan and Laak.
“This is the commitment of the Marcos administration and the House of Representatives under Speaker Romualdez’s leadership in partnership with Tingog Partylist, government agencies, and local officials to continue supporting Filipinos in need, especially in the face of challenging times,” Gabonada said.
In addition, on the same day, he said the offices of Speaker, Tingog, DSWD, and other partners facilitated another payout at the Davao Regional Medical Center in Tagum City. Gabonada said 2,288 beneficiaries received P10,000 each, for a total payout of P22.88 million. He explained a total of P56.09 million in AKAP funds were distributed to 5,609 beneficiaries, or P10,000 each, from the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) in Davao City.
According to Gabonada, the payout ceremony was held at the Medical Social Service Building of SPMC and attended by key officials, including Dr. Ricardo Audan, Medical Center chief, Atty. Oscar Mata, chief administrative officer, Director Edwin Morata from DSWD-Central, and Gerry Ramirez, social services head of the Office of the Speaker.
Concluding the AKAP distribution in the region at ePark, Tagum City recently, Gabonada said Davao del Norte Vice Governor Oyo Uy and other local officials led the payout for 1,721 private school teachers in Tagum City, where each beneficiary received P5,000 or a total of P8.605 million.
