LACSON, MAPUA SIGN IT SCHOLARSHIP AGREEMENT

Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson led the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement with Mapua Malayan Digital College (MMDC) for the Abanse Negrense IT and Business Scholarship at MMDC Learning Hub, Ayala Malls Capitol Central, Bacolod City.

A total of 51 grantees from various cities and municipalities of Victorias, Silay, La Carlota, Ilog, Sipalay, Hinigaran, Talisay, Murcia, Pontevedra, Kabankalan,Hinobaan, Cauayan, Toboso, Manapla, Binalbagan, and San Carlos also signed the MOA.

The grantees were Negrenses youth who take up Information Technology and Business Administration Programs at MMDC, a college under Malayan Colleges Laguna, A Mapua School. 

Under the said scholarship program, the Provincial Government gives particular attention to Negrense youth undergoing difficult circumstances who are determined to graduate despite financial constraints.

“The MOA signing represents a new door to a world of opportunities for the scholars.”

Lacson said that the MOA signing represents a new door to a world of opportunities for the scholars.

“To our scholarship grantees, please consider that this scholarship is not just financial assistance, but an investment for your future,” the governor said.

“I encourage each of you to strive for excellence as you embrace this great opportunity.

Lacson also thanked MMDC for the continued partnership and confidence in Negrense students.

He lauded the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program Division (NOSPD) headed by Karen Dinsay for the dynamic and committed dedication to the development of the Negrense learners.

Also present during the MOA signing were MMDC Executive Director Engr. Dennis Tablante, MMDC Student Affairs Director Rita De Jesus, and NOSPD head Karen Dinsay.
