After the UP Men’s Basketball Team (MBT) took part in the inaugural offering of the Fighting Maroons Basketball School (FMBS), it’s the Women’s Basketball Team’s (WBT) turn to lend a helping hand.
And in the process, keep proving that – most definitely – girls got game.
FMBS is State U’s official basketball development program launched by the UP Office for Athletics and Sports Development (OASD) which seeks to set up a stage for boys and girls ages 6-16 to showcase and then strengthen their skills in the spirit of the UP Fight.
The Fighting Maroons will be active participants in the penultimate day of training camp running from July 29 to August 3.
In the first module last July 8-13, the likes of Sean Alter, Jacob Bayla, Gani Stevens, and Reyland Torres were active participants in teaching and thrilling young talents.
Now, it’s time for the women’s side to do the same, on the heels of a rousing UAAP Season 86 campaign that saw them return to the Final Four for the first time since 2008.
