The Department of Tourism (DOT) and The Medical City (TMC), a premier healthcare institution, entered into a historic partnership aimed at positioning the Philippines as a top destination for health and wellness.
This landmark collaboration was formalized during the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing recently at the Grand Hyatt Manila.
Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco led the ceremonial MOA signing alongside Dr. Eugenio Jose Ramos, President and CEO of The Medical City, highlighting the DOT’s efforts in enhancing the Philippines’ medical tourism offerings.

The tourism head also outlined ongoing and upcoming projects, including the establishment of medical tourism concierge services at airports and Tourist First Aid facilities in tourist destinations, all aimed at enhancing the overall tourism experience in the Philippines.
She likewise emphasized the potential of medical tourism to significantly contribute to the economy, noting impressive growth in tourism spending and employment.
“We are blessed to be partnering with The Medical City in our government’s efforts to expand the medical tourism portfolio of the country,” Frasco said.
“Together, we will emphasize the advantages of choosing the Philippines for medical care where patients can expect world-class healthcare services complimented by our hospitality and beautiful landscapes,” she added.
