CSC ISSUES LOCAL TREASURY EXAM TEST CENTERS LIST

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has issued the list of testing centers and important reminders for about 6,400 examinees of the Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE) on 02 June 2024.

CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles advised BCLTE takers to carefully read the Examination Advisory No. 9, s. 2024, which is accessible via the CSC website.

“As part of the exam preparations, please make sure to check the Online Notice of School Assignment (ONSA) to know your designated testing site. The CSC wishes you all the best as you take this crucial step to becoming members of the civil service as Local Treasurer and Assistant Local Treasurer,” said Chairperson Nograles.

The CSC further advised examinees to be at the testing venue by 6:30 a.m. or as required by the CSC RO or FOs concerned. The gates of the testing venues will be closed to examinees at exactly 7:45 a.m. and those who will arrive after 7:45 a.m. shall no longer be allowed to take the exam.

He added that passing the BCLTE and obtaining Local Treasurer Eligibility is also suitable for positions within Financial Services that do not require professional practice and are not governed by Special Laws.

To use the ONSA, examinees must accurately enter the required data in the specified fields, adhering to the given format. The ONSA also includes a link to the Examinee’s Guide for the BCLTE, which provides detailed information on the examination process and the procedures to follow before and on the exam day.

Applicants who cannot access the ONSA or still do not know their school assignment one week before the examination day are advised to inquire directly with the CSC Regional Office (RO) or Field Office (FO) concerned.

Examinees must present a valid ID card on examination day, preferably the same one used during the application process, as the testing venues will strictly enforce a “No ID, No Exam” policy. Photocopies or cellphone photos of ID cards will not be accepted. If the original ID card is lost or unavailable, the examinee must present another accepted ID card for the civil service exam.

The CSC also reminded examinees that calculators are permitted for the BCLTE. However, only stand-alone, non-graphing, non-programmable, non-scientific 4-function or 5-function calculators are allowed. Watch calculators, phone calculators, and any other devices with calculator functions are prohibited.

Examinees are not permitted to use any aids while answering the test, including books, dictionaries, other printed materials, cellphones, smartwatches, tablets, or any electronic devices.

Lastly, proper attire is required on examination day, preferably a plain white shirt or top. Examinees wearing inappropriate clothing, such as sleeveless shirts or blouses, shorts, ripped jeans, and slippers, will not be allowed to enter the venue. Additionally, examinees are encouraged to use transparent bags for their belongings and tie back long hair, if applicable.

The complete list of reminders, including the scope of the examination, can be accessed from the CSC website at www.csc.gov.ph.
