DPWH FINISHES ROAD UPGRADE IN QUEZON TOWN

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the rehabilitation of P. Burgos-Pototanin Junction Road in Barangay Malicboy, Pagbilao, Quezon.

In his report to Public Works Secretary Manuel Bonoan, DPWH Region 4A Director Jovel Mendoza said that the improvement of the Malicboy section of the P. Burgos-Pototanin Junction Road enhanced safety and accessibility for motorists.

This route has been a harrowing experience with its cliff-hugging curves and precarious mountainous terrain.

The construction of a 70-meter crib-type wall concrete road shoulders and 144.30-meter concrete wall structures was strategically positioned to reduce soil erosion and improve safety in the area.

“By addressing the inherent threats of the Malicboy Section, we’re not only facilitating smoother travel but also protecting our communities from the devastating consequences of natural calamities such as slope collapse and landslides.”
