The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) conducted road improvement works along a local road to enhance connectivity and promote safety in the Municipality of Magalang, Pampanga.
DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller Tolentino, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Undersecretary for Operations in Central Luzon Roberto Bernardo, identified the newly-upgraded road as the David Road in Barangay San Ildefonso.
According to Tolentino, the road improvement project involves the concrete paving of 788-meter section and including road shoulders by half a meter on both sides to widen from five (5) meters to six (6) meters.
“With the completion of the road upgrades, residents and local farmers in Barangay San Ildefonso now experience smooth travel experience and efficient hauling of agricultural products to nearby market centers in the town.”

Tolentino added that the improvements along David Road complements the recently constructed San Ildefonso and Sto. Niño Bridges in preventing possible traffic congestion for motorists travelling between the barangays.
The DPWH Pampanga Third District Engineering Office (DEO) oversaw the completion of the P19.75-million rehabilitation project funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
