Some 10,088 provincial scholars benefited from the educational assistance program of the province of Samar where each scholar received a P3,000 financial aid.

In addition, every Board Member of the first and second districts of the province also chose 30 students as scholars.

On the occasion of one payout schedule, Samar 1st District Representative Stephen James Tan said that the educational assistance program of the province aims to alleviate the students, as well as their parents, the financial burden that goes along with education.

“I also trust that you will use the money wisely towards where it is intended, your education.”

“I hope that through this assistance, we get to help you in fulfilling your dreams. I also trust that you will use the money wisely towards where it is intended, your education,”  the lawmaker added.

Meanwhile, Samar 2nd District Representative Reynolds Michael Tan shared that in the upcoming semesters, he would want to ensure that the cash assistance will be given within the semester, for the students to be able to judiciously spend the money for their needs during the semester.

“It is my earnest yearning that no one will be left behind in terms of education.”

“It is my earnest yearning that no one will be left behind in terms of education. I also look forward to the day wherein no Samarnon is left uneducated,” the congressman said.

On the other hand, Vice-Governor Arnold Tan, emphasized that being respectful and well-mannered is just as important as finishing one’s studies and attaining success in life.

The educational assistance program in the province started way back during the time of Gov. Mila T. Tan. This was then continued by Governor Sharee Ann Tan. Since then, the number of beneficiaries increased and has since helped thousands of Samarnons.
