Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna encouraged all Manileños to register for PhilHealth citing the benefits it provides.
PhilHealth registration is now ongoing in the 44 health centers of Manila’s six districts.
“Lahat ng benepisyo ng PhilHealth, maibibigay sa inyo kung registered na po kayo,” Lacuna said.
“Kaya pag-uwi niyo ng tahanan, hikayatin niyo pa po ang inyong mga kaanak at ang inyong mga kapitbahay na mag-register,” the lady mayor added.
“Pag-uwi nyo ng tahanan, hikayatin niyo pa po ang inyong mga kaanak at ang inyong mga kapitbahay na magregister.”
The city government, meanwhile, targets to accommodate at least 300 individuals per day per health center.
According to PhilHealth, they target to have a number of registrants in Manila at 300,000.
PhilHealth registration is in accordance with the Universal Health Care Law of the national government.
