The House Committee on Housing and Urban Development chaired by Negros Occidental Representative Jose Francisco Benitez approved the committee report on House Bill 71, providing for the development of sustainable cities and communities in the country.
Benitez expressed hope that the measure would improve, bolster, and strengthen the urban development and planning function of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development and the offices within the local government units (LGUs).
