ANGARA OFFERS REWARD FOR EX-VICE MAYOR’S KILLERS

Senator Sonny Angara announced that he is offering a P300,000 reward for anyone who can give information that could lead to the arrest of the individuals behind the murder of former Dipaculao, Aurora Vice Mayor Narciso Amansec.

Amansec, who was also a former Board Member of Aurora province, was ambushed by unidentified gunmen along with his wife and driver, at Purok 1, Barangay Dibutunan while on board an SUV.

Angara, who hails from Aurora province, condemned the incident and sent his condolences to the victims’ families.

“I am shocked and heartbroken that such a violent act was committed in my peace-loving home province,” the veteran legislator said.

Before the incident, Amansec exposed the alleged illegal campaign activities of then Aurora Governor and current Vice Governor Jerry Noveras.

The case is still pending at the provincial prosecutor’s office of Aurora and the Commission on Elections.

Meanwhile, the chief of the Police Regional Office in Central Luzon (PRO-3) on Wednesday ordered an in-depth investigation into the killing of Amansec.

“I have already ordered the creation of a special investigation task group.”

“I have ordered an in-depth probe on this incident and we are looking into all angles to establish possible motives. We are now in the process of gathering evidence that will lead us to the identification of the culprit,” PRO-3 chief, Brig. General Cesar R. Pasiwen said.

“I have already ordered for the creation of a special investigation task group to assure the public, as well as the victims’ families, of our total commitment to ensure immediate resolution of the case through proper and scrupulous investigation,” Pasiwen said.

He added that while they give importance to all cases (but) this particular incident would be treated as a top priority since a former local chief executive is involved.

Pasiwen asked for the public’s support for its immediate resolution.
