‘PRINCIPLED’ CAMPAIGNS URGED FOR LAGUNA LOCAL BETS

“Good luck, God bless, and, when the last ballot is counted, may the people of Laguna be the real winners in the 2022 elections.”

This was the message of Laguna gubernatorial candidate Sol Aragones to all candidates vying for local positions in the province of Laguna, as she stressed the importance of conducting “platform-based, principled campaigns” focused on providing Laguna voters with the information they need to vote wisely in the May polls.

According to the three-term lawmaker, her platform as Laguna governor is centered on “Alagang Aragones-Ejercito” and is focused on addressing five priority areas: health, agriculture, tourism, education, and senior citizens welfare.

On the first day of the campaign period for local candidates, the incumbent Laguna 3rd district representative stressed that those vying for elective posts in Laguna “should work to empower our voters and to help them make informed choices in the coming elections.”

Aragones, who is running with vice gubernatorial candidate Jorge “Jerico” Ejercito, pointed out that all those vying for elective posts “should have clear programs of action and be ready to serve our constituents from their first day in office.”

“Pag tayong kandidato may plano at pinakita natin na handa tayong ipatupad ang ating plano, ang mga botante ng Laguna ang panalo.”

According to the three-term lawmaker, her platform as Laguna governor is centered on “Alagang Aragones-Ejercito” and is focused on addressing five priority areas: health, agriculture, tourism, education, and senior citizens welfare.

The former broadcast journalist, who earned awards for her work in news programs like TV Patrol and Salamat Dok, is responsible for establishing Laguna’s first government-owned dialysis center in San Pablo City.

Aside from improving health services in Laguna, Aragones has also committed to (1) invest in education by expanding scholarship programs for Laguna youth; (2) stimulating the local economy by extending support to Laguna farmers and providing incentives to establish Laguna as the Silicon Valley of the Philippines; and (3) improve the social pension program for Laguna’s senior citizens.
