The local government of Taytay in Rizal said vaccine confidence among its residents has increased since their rollout began while medical frontliners continue to avail of the COVID-19 jabs.
Mayor Joric Gacula said that based on talks with residents, the municipal health office’s personnel noted more are willing to be vaccinated.
“The number of residents who have shown interest in the vaccines reached 2,000.”

Taytay targets to inoculate about 90 percent of its 375,000 population.
It has initially allocated P320 million for the vaccination campaign.
“Vaccination has begun at Taytay Doctors Hospital, Taytay Emergency Hospital, and Manila East Medical Center,” the mayor reported.
