Locals residing in low-lying areas of Barangay Poblacion in the town of Albuera in Leyte are now protected from the dangers of the overflowing of river with the newly-completed flood control structure by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The 300-linear meter flood control project is part of the government’s flagship, Build, Build, Build program funded under the 2020 budget.

Costing P41 million, the flood control structure includes the clearing and grubbing, steel reinforcement, slope protection, structure excavation, and embankment works.
