The municipality of New Bataan in Davao de Oro conducted recently a “Progress Serbisyo Sa Tawo Caravan” in the far-flung communities of Barangay Pagsabangan.
The caravan was led by Mayor Geraldford Balbin benefiting some 374 residents of the barangay, a statement from the municipality said.

Balbin said the caravan aims to bring various services of the government, especially in remote areas to address and help the residents in their basic needs.
Services rendered during the caravan include medical, dental consultation, late birth and wedding registration, haircut, feeding program, agri-services, and animal care, and distribution of relief packs to senior citizens.
Last year, a school run by the Department of Education (DepEd) was established up in Barangay Pagsabangan through the ‘Bayanihan sa Paaralan Build Program’.
The activity was attended by officials from the provincial government, 66th Infantry Battalion, Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), barangay, and municipal.
